Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The GVU Journal of Management and Social Sciences publishes original, high-quality research articles in Management and Social Sciences. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere.

Manuscript Preparation

• Manuscripts must be written in English.
• Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.
• Use double line spacing throughout the manuscript (except abstract and block quotations).
• Manuscripts should not exceed fifteen (15) pages.
• British spelling must be used consistently throughout the manuscript.
• The title page must contain:
– Full title (without abbreviations)
– Author name(s)
– Institutional affiliation(s)
– Telephone number(s) with country code
– Email address(es)

Abstract and Keywords

• Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
• The abstract should state the objective, methodology, key findings, conclusion, and recommendations.
• Do not cite references in the abstract.
• Provide 5–6 keywords immediately after the abstract.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organised in the following order:

• Title
• Abstract
• Keywords
• Introduction
• Statement of the Problem (may be merged with introduction)
• Research Objectives/Questions
• Research Hypothesis (if applicable)
• Conceptual Clarification (if applicable)
• Review of Related Literature (including empirical studies)
• Theoretical Framework (maximum of two theories, aligned with findings)
• Methodology
• Data Presentation and Analysis
• Discussion of Findings
• Conclusion
• Recommendations (minimum of three)
• References (APA 7th Edition)

Referencing Style

All references must follow the latest APA Style (7th edition). Authors are advised to ensure accuracy and completeness of all references.

Plagiarism Policy

The journal operates a strict anti-plagiarism policy. Manuscripts must not exceed 20% similarity index (Turnitin standard). Manuscripts failing this requirement will not be considered for review.

Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word format through the journal’s submission system.

All accepted articles will be assigned a unique DOI.
